Course Curriculum
Module 1:  
Participants will be given case studies that deal with start up organizations and will focus on creativity and the role it plays in a start up organization and will focus on managing a start up organization. Through lecture, discussion, cases studies and group work, participants will learn how to develop a start up business by: 

  • Generating, evaluating and progressing concepts/ideas to test market.
  • Staff up for a start up organization. This includes an organizational structure, type of individuals to hire, and
  • How to manage and compensate these individuals.

Module 2:  
Participants will be given case studies that deal with large organizations and will focus on business objectives and communications, systems and contingency planning. Through a combination of lecture, discussion, case studies and group work and presentations, participants will learn how to: 

  • Focus a large organization on business objectives. This will include an overview of strategic planning, systems, management and crisis management.
