To connect a WOpet feeder to Wi-Fi, download the correct app, put the feeder in pairing mode by holding the Wi-Fi button until the indicator light flashes rapidly (usually red or green), and then follow the in-app instructions to select your 2.4 GHz network and enter the password.

    Before you begin

    • Download the app: Find the correct app for your model by checking the user manual, which can be downloaded from the WOpet website.
    • Find your network information: Make sure you have the password for your Wi-Fi network.
    • Check your Wi-Fi band: WOpet feeders only support 2.4 GHz networks. If your phone is connected to a 5 GHz network, switch to a 2.4 GHz network before starting.

    Step-by-step connection

    1. Put the feeder in pairing mode:
      • Press and hold the Wi-Fi or SET button on the feeder for about 3-5 seconds until you hear a beep and the indicator light starts flashing rapidly (this may be red or green depending on the model).
      • If you see a pop-up in the app, confirm that the indicator light is flashing rapidly and tap “Next” or “Indicator is flashing rapidly”.
    2. Select your network and enter the password:
      • Allow the app to access your location if prompted, which should automatically display your Wi-Fi network name.
      • Ensure the correct 2.4 GHz network is selected.
      • Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap “Confirm” or “Next”.
    3. Complete the connection:
      • The feeder will now attempt to connect. This may take a few moments.
      • Some models may use a QR code that you need to show to the feeder’s camera until you hear a beep.
      • Once connected, the indicator light will change, and you may be prompted to give your feeder a name in the app.

    Troubleshooting

    • If the connection fails: Ensure you are on a 2.4 GHz network and have entered the correct password. You may need to use a different connection method, like AP mode, which is sometimes called “hotspot connection” in the app.
    • If the light isn’t flashing correctly: Long-press the Wi-Fi button again to reset the pairing mode until the light flashes rapidly.
