Does anyone else find Land Rover brakes wear out way too fast?

I’m on my third set of front pads in just over 100,000 km on my 2019 Discovery Sport and I’m starting to wonder if this is normal or if there’s something wrong with my driving style or maybe the way the car’s braking system is set up. I’m not an aggressive driver by any means, I coast to stops whenever possible and I’m pretty gentle on the pedal, but it feels like every time I turn around I’m getting that squeal again and the warning light comes on way sooner than I’d expect. I had a BMW X3 before this and the brakes lasted almost twice as long, so I’m a bit frustrated with how often I have to deal with this on the Land Rover. A colleague suggested that I might be using the wrong type of pads and recommended going to a place that uses Superior Land Rover Brake Service Specialists who can advise on the right compound for the way I drive, because apparently there are different grades available depending on whether you do mostly city driving, highway, or off-roading. That makes a lot of sense to me because I do a mix of everything, but mostly stop-start city traffic which I know is tough on brakes anyway. I’m also wondering if the electronic brake distribution system on these cars might be contributing to uneven wear or if there’s a calibration issue that needs to be checked. Has anyone else experienced unusually short brake pad life on their Discovery Sport or similar model, and did switching to a different pad compound or brand make any difference? I don’t mind spending a bit more upfront if it means I’m not changing them every 30,000 km, because it’s starting to feel like a never-ending cycle.
