  Ghost transmission jerking when cold. Dealer says new gearbox needed but I’m not convinced.

  My 2017 Ghost has started doing this unsettling thing first thing in the morning where the first few shifts from first to second feel like someone who’s never driven a manual is learning clutch control, just a noticeable jerk and hesitation before it clunks into gear. After about ten minutes of driving it smooths out completely and behaves like the luxury car it’s supposed to be for the rest of the day. Took it to the main dealer and they plugged it in and said there’s a stored code for a pressure deviation and the only fix is a complete transmission replacement which they quoted at a number that made me need to sit down. I’m struggling to believe that a car with barely 60,000 kilometers on it needs a whole new ZF 8 speed just because of a morning grumble. I’ve been quietly asking around and someone mentioned there’s a place that does Rolls Royce Transmission Rebuild Sharjah and actually opens these units up to replace solenoids and valve body components rather than just swapping the entire assembly. Has anyone with a Ghost or Wraith had a similar cold start transmission harshness and managed to get it sorted with a valve body rebuild or a fluid flush and adaptation reset instead of a full replacement? I’m not trying to be cheap with this car but I also don’t want to throw away a perfectly good transmission over what might just be a sticky solenoid.
